Terrece Beesley

My brother says that I paint because I throw like a girl and I had no future in the major leagues. But I think I paint because there is still a small child inside me saying, "Look what I can do."

I grew up on a potato farm, the youngest child,
with four older brothers trying to keep me in line.
Our parents taught us to work hard, and to love outdoor activities, especially skiing and swimming. The Beesley farm and surrounding area still hold my heart.

I attended Utah State University, earning a BFA in painting and textile design. I then married, had my first child, and began my career as the owner/partner of a publishing company. This was followed by a free lance career in product design, publishing and computer animation, as a single mother with three children, Lori, Lisa and Shaun.

In 1991 I married Jerry Poulson, who added two great kids, Jon and Trev,
to our "Brady Bunch". Together we have six grand children; Jade, Harleigh, Aiden, Sloane, Ruby and Jack. I have tons of photos.

Since 2000, I have concentrated on my watercolor paintings, while working with the Utah Arts Council's Artist in Residence program. I have been actively teaching at elementary schools around Utah, and giving watercolor seminars to high school and elementary students at Weber State University.
