I grew up on a potato farm in Idaho, the youngest child, with four older brothers trying to keep me in line. Our parents taught us to work hard and love outdoor activities, especially skiing and swimming. I attended Utah State University, earning a BFA in painting and textile design. I then married, had my first child, and began my career as the owner/partner of a publishing company. This was followed by a freelance career in product design, publishing, and computer animation, as a single mother raising three children. In 1991 I married Jerry Poulson, who added two great kids, to our “Brady Bunch.” Together we have seven grandchildren and tons of photos.
Since 2000, I have concentrated on watercolor paintings, while working with the Utah Arts Council’s Artist in Residence program. I have been actively teaching at elementary schools around Utah, giving watercolor seminars to elementary students, and teaching adults at the Eccles Community Art Center.
